Qiao Dengjiang

Qiao Dengjiang, born in Gaoyou, Jiangsu, is an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering majoring in nuclear technology who has began the physical research in explosion phenomenology and nuclear explosion. He published 5 books and more than 30 academic theses and won 9 science and technology awards of state level as well as 7 of ministrial level and one second prize of national publication award.

Achievements:

-compiled Nuclear Effects Parameters Manual which is the first book on nuclear test achievements in China.

-presided over a nuclear test security work and came up with a method in measuring the air, ground shock wave strength with the knowledge of zero o’clock meteorological condition through simple calculus based on the theory of weak shock wave propagation in focus. And he won first prize of the COSTIND science and technology progress award.

-compiled and publicized A Brief Introduction to Nuclear Physics, the only monograph in this field in China.

-compiled Nuclear Effect of Strategic Objectives Manual, won him third prize of National science and technology progress award.

-compiled Nuclear Firepower Application Notes won him second prize of the COSTIND science and technology progress award within the COSTIND.

-pioneering in research in anti-radiation reinforcement technology.

 

 

CHEN Jiyu

Professor CHEN Jiyu is one of the most famous experts of Estuarine and Coastal Research in China and a pioneer in applying this theory into engineering practice.

1996- selected as academician of International Academy of Sciences for Europe and Asia(IASEA)

1978- professor, PHD program supervisor, head and honorary director of Estuarine and Coastal Research Institute, ECNU in sequence

Achievements

Chen Jiyu contributes a lot to the study and practice of Estuarine and Coastal research among which one of his most important services is his investigation in the influence of the “Three Gorges Project” on the Yangtze River estuary ecological environment which enables him to have made great contributions to the exploration and engineering construction of China’s costal zone, especially in water resources, tideland reclamation and embankment works.

He published over 150 papers and was once issued the National Labor Medal and praised as the one of the national advanced educators. He also won one first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award and another 15 Science and Technology Progress Awards of provincial level.

 

 

HE Mingyuan

HENG Mingyuan is at present professor of ECNU’s Department of Chemistry. Being the chief scientist of the state key fundamental research “Project 973” of “green chemistry of oil refining and basic organic chemical synthesis”, he is in charge of research project fund of over 60 million Yuan from Ministry of Science and Technology, National Natural Science Foundation of China and SINOPEC.

In recent years He Mingyuan made distinguishing research achievements and has applied for over 60 patents at home and abroad. And he published more and 50 papers and several books. He was also invited as addressers in many international ceremonies in his field.

 

 

HE Ji-Feng

Position

Short Bio:

HE Ji-Feng is currently a professor of computer science at East China Normal University (ECNU). He is also the Dean of Software Engineering Institute, ECNU. He graduated from the Department of Mathematics, Fudan University in 1965 and then worked in ECNU. In 1986, he was promoted to the rank of Professor. He joined in Stanford University and San Francisco University, USA during 1980 to 1981 as a Visiting Researcher. He joined Computing Lab of Oxford University, U.K. during 1983 to 1998 as a Senior Researcher. From 1998 to 2005, he was a senior research fellow of International Institute for Software Technology, United Nations University (UNU-IIST), Macau, China. In 2005, he was elected as CAS Academician. And Recently, he was appointed as the Chief Scientist for the “Trusted Software Fundamental Research” as a major research plan launched by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). And he was also appointed as the Chief Scientist for the “Theory and Practice on Coordination and Survivability for Massive Amount of Information” project as the National Basic Research Program (“973” Program) founded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). In 2011, he was appointed as the Chief Scientist for the “Internet of Things” project as China Technology Research Development Plan (“863” Program) founded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). And also he was appointed as the leader of the creative research group of National Natural Science Foundation of China.

In recent years, he has also been working on the mathematical model about the co-design of software and hardware, his work focus on design of real-time embedded systems and Cyber Physical system, his work focus on embedded system and the Internet of Things.

MA Shengming is at present professor in ECNU’s Department of Chemistry. And at the same time, he is also director of State Key Laboratory of Organometallic Chemistry of Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science and distinguished part-time professor of Zhejiang University.

ZHANG Jing

ZHANG Jing, born in Inner-Mongolia in October, 1957, is at present professor in ECNU. Being one of the leading scholars in Chemical Oceanography and Marine Biogeochemistry, he is among one of the earliest Distinguished Professors in the “Changjiang Scholars Program” of Ministry of Education (MOE) and has won the Outstanding Youth Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He is also praised as one of “the young and middle-aged experts of great contributions to the country”, the country’s “New Century Talents Project” and “Leading Talents” of Shanghai.
